COLLECTIVITIES
The Musée de La Poste, also known as the Maison des Grenadières, is a specialized museum in the heart of the medieval village, housing a unique collection. The museum traces the history of gold-thread embroidery in the Forez region back to the late 19th century. Originally, embroiderers mainly produced military motifs, in particular the pomegranate, hence their nickname of Grenadières. Over time, their work was extended to other military corps, as well as to civilian embroidery for public and private structures. Today, the embroiderers' skills are adapted to contemporary demands. The museum offers visitors the opportunity to discover this rare and precious know-how through an exhibition rich in history and images.
