FERME DU BÉCOT
Located in the commune of Chambœuf in the Loire department, Ferme Du Bécot is a dairy farm that also produces beef and poultry. The farm covers an area of 88 hectares and has 50 cows, including 15 Hereford cows. The animals graze on meadows and are fed exclusively on grass and hay produced on site. Calves are supplemented with cereals, also grown on the farm. The Hereford breed, recognizable by its reddish-brown coat with a white border from head to withers, is renowned for producing tender, extremely tasty meat, much appreciated by top chefs. Ferme Du Bécot is sensitive to the local market and favors local products.
