This site, located in Firminy, listed as a Unesco World Heritage Site, is the largest built by Le Corbusier in Europe.
Listed today as a Unesco World Heritage Site, this architectural complex was originally intended for workers' housing: a housing unit with all the necessary facilities nearby, sports with a stadium, leisure activities with the Maison de la Culture, and spiritual life with the Saint-Pierre church. Started by Charles-Edouard Jeanneret-Gris, known as Le Corbusier, and completed by his pupil André Wogenscky, it forms today an exceptional site in the heart of the green Firminy, the largest realized by Le Corbusier in Europe and the second in the world.
