History. This armoury was founded in 1820 by Claude Verney who already relies on two centuries of gunsmith know-how. At that time, he won the first prize of the city of Saint-Etienne, capital of the French army, for his work on a rifle butt. Ten years later, he married Antoinette Carron, herself a gunsmith's daughter, and combined their two names to create the Verney-Carron brand. Shotguns and rifles are manufactured by craftsmen for many years, then the company absorbed the company Demas and became industrialized by opening the Atelier Verney-Carron in 2004. These weapons are made to measure, individually according to the customer's wishes and morphology.
