Push at Mao's door to taste its traditional Chinese cuisine. Golden Wand since 1987, At Mao is famous for his Chinese and Vietnamese gastronomy. One of the most Ancient Asian restaurants in Saint-Etienne, if it is the oldest. A long tradition of quality in the city centre. A discreet but always full welcome. Perfect service. It should not be missed: steam specialities and fondues (Chinese, thaïes) are worth a visit. Yet an unknown aspect of Asian cuisine in the great tradition. Improved: The room is a bit atmosphere. But the place is made for a pleasant and quiet meal, not for the party or for an artificial change.

Très bon restaurant chinois
Je suis allée découvrir le restaurant chinois proche de l'hôtel de ville. J'ai adoré les nems, les crevettes sauce piquante et les nouilles sautées. Pour le dessert, j'ai adoré le chaud froid à la vanille. Je recommande ce restaurant!

Client depuis plus de 10 ans,vraiment déçu de la qualité des nems qui autrefois etais délicieux. Je ne sais pas si sa a changé de cuistot mais je ne recommande plus du tout cet endroit.déçu du rapport qualité/prix car les barquettes de nouilles aux crevettes ne sont qu'à moitié remplie...a éviter. ...

TO AVOID. Nothing develops the service. In bulk: old decoration, French is a foreign language, smell of mall washed horse, tablecloths and paper napkin…
The service is non-existent. Thus, each guest eat according to the schedule of the cuisine, each seeing himself serving your plate without taking into account the other people at the table. Real for the starter, main course and dessert.
The food is as well as possible poor: tasteless dishes, fondue " livrée" without instructions, overcooked noodles and rice, seasoning only present to give taste…
And very expensive for the result.
Conclusion: the memory of to avoid it!
