Saint-Étienne can be pleased to have invested in a beautiful planetarium both classic (for projections of the celestial sphere) and modern (for screenings of 3 D films and images). Arriving from outside, the visitor really feels like approaching a professional observatory dome… but once he's gone, he's discovering a whole arsenal of didactic materials dedicated to information about astronomy and the universe, including a very complete boutique offering books, gadgets, minerals, globes of all kinds, games, and even telescopes. To attend the sessions it is best to book. The spectator's immersion is total.
