JARDIN D'ENFANT DU PARC DE L'EUROPE
Saint-Étienne's Parc de l'Europe is an 11-hectare urban park at the top of the Cours Fauriel. Popular with walkers, joggers, children and students, it offers a place to relax and unwind in the heart of the city. Here, you can enjoy readings, picnics and contemplative walks. The park is crossed by the GR42, which leads to the Chateaucreux train station and the Parc Naturel Régional du Pilat. Nature lovers will be delighted to observe over 80 species of birds, some of which are uncommon in the region. The park is also home to a perennial garden, with over 150 species spread over 16 islands. There are also flowerbeds of annuals and shady paths. The park has two children's play areas, a small train and toilets. It is accessible by public transport, with STAS lines M4 and M6. The park is open at all times, except in the event of a municipal by-law. Events such as the Plant Festival and the La stéphanoise race take place regularly.
