RESISTANCE AND DEPORTATION MEMORIAL
This memorial pays poignant tribute to these anonymous war heroes
Created with the help of Jean Monnet University and the municipal and departmental archives, the Loire Resistance and Deportation Memorial opened its doors in 1999 in the town centre. Less well known than the museums of the region, the aim of this place was to transmit the memory of the Resistance fighters and deportees from the Loire during the Second World War to current generations. Photographs, testimonies, portraits of men and women... The memorial pays a poignant tribute to these anonymous people who became war heroes. It is a place full of emotion that many students, families and other curious people come to visit every year and which questions us on current issues.
