SILK CONDITION
This building is a reminder of Saint Etienne's glorious industrial Past. Completed in 1910, it was built by Léon and Marcel Lamaizière, a family of architects involved in the construction of many monuments in Saint-Etienne. Nestled in its origins a warehouse of beautiful silks, the building has been converted into a high-end apartment. Cannot visit so, but don't hesitate to come and take a look at its facade, registered in historical monuments. The entrance is surmounted by the arms of the city controlled by two putti. this new condition of soies that served only very briefly is evidence of the success of textile activities.
