BOTANIC GARDEN
A favorite strolling area for city dwellers, the park is home to the Saint-Étienne Opera-Theatre and a variety of rare trees.
A real green lung for the city center, the Jardin des Plantes is the oldest park in the city. Located around the Villeboeuf hill, the park is home to the Opera-Theatre of Saint-Etienne and various varieties of rare trees. A beautiful shaded walk that is a favorite place for city dwellers. Picnic and play areas have been set up for the pleasure of children and adults. Don't miss the statue erected in honor of Francis Garnier, an explorer officer from Saint-Etienne who went on an expedition on the Mekong.
