AUBERGE LA COTONNE
In the middle of a preserved nature, almost wild between the ponds that are the landscape of the Forez Plain, La Cotonne is the fruit of shared passions for horse riding and gastronomy. In this magical place, a country inn with a bucolic and romantic atmosphere, we come, to two in love, to family with children or groups (reception room up to 180 people), to rediscover the taste of "real things". Old horse boxes have been transformed into an extraordinary dining room. Exposed stones, objects around the horse, beautiful fireplace in winter and tables well placed. A mixture of rustic and elegant elegance "farmer farmer", of the best effect. Side kitchen, slate choice according to season market and inspiration from head: bowl in old - and when you say bowl, it is that the whole bowl in its mould is put on the table! -, goose rillettes and toast, Bourgogne snails, delicious chicken liver cake and forest, grilled pig foot, whole duck magret… A table with gourmet accents in the area where homemade, classic desserts offer an original presentation.

Tout était trop cuit (le foie gras poêlé, la viande et les saint jacques) de plus les quantités sont bien maigres !!!

Réservation pour 4 à 20h00 un samedi soir. Jusque là RAS.
Fin du repas 22h00 après n'avoir été servi que d'un plat. Le bon de commande pour les desserts ayant été perdu à deux reprises consécutives .
Cela peut arriver j'en conviens.
Mais quand la table d'à côté arrive 30 min après nous, se voit servir deux assiettes d'apéritifs, les entrées et les plats en moins d'une heure. Il est difficile de garder son calme.
Néanmoins, le cadre est très joli, le personnel très agréable et les plats étaient
excellents.
