SURY-LE-COMTAL CASTLE
A 17th century castle with rooms decorated in a Louis XIII style, the visit is a journey through the castle life of the time.
Sury Castle is behind its austere and imposing facades, a treasure: many pieces decorated in a Louis XIII style. For some ten years, renowned cabinetmakers succeed: Claude Désiré, Germain Bedoin and Sunday Marceau. From the Sourdis lounge to Diane's room, the visitor accomplishes a wonderful journey through the castle life in the seventeenth century. A nineteenth-century music salon, an Empire-style library with sculpted columns and shells, is perfect for this ensemble. The decoration painted or carved of exceptional quality dazzles the visitor.
