AUVERGNE'S DINANDERIE
Visit a remarkable coppersmith in Jussac, the town's last remaining workshop.
In the 17th and 18th centuries, the Dinanderie made Aurillac's reputation throughout Europe. The know-how of the craftsmen in the manufacture of copper objects (cauldrons, pots, pans), with their robustness and quality, was recognised. The Dinanderie d'Auvergne was created in 1886. Today, it remains the last workshop in the town still in operation. Jean-Paul Bastien invites you to discover his trade and his objects, which are still made in the traditional way. In the exhibition room, you will discover the antique tinned copper and pewter.
