The «big Mill» became a centre for environmental initiation in 1997, a place of education for pedagogy and permanent observation of the natural environment. In the th century, the Yzeron lost its Launderers and Mills and became a paradise for Sunday's fishermen, hikers and artists. All lovers of nature have weighed on the governing bodies and the Yzeron becomes the green lung of the Lyon agglomeration. A pedestrian path will soon be opened, the river contract soon signed and the restored and enlarged «big mill» will find its past with its pond and its mill wheel.
