You don't need a label to confirm that the Bouchon de l'Opéra is one of Lyon's most authentic bouchons. On the slopes, Stephan and Florence don't flatter tourists, but they do keep alive the best traditions of hospitality and cuisine. In an incredible setting built up over the 23 years they've been open, they've managed to retain that simple, popular feel that so many Lyonnais addresses lack. Close-knit tables for getting to know each other, conviviality without fuss, old-fashioned crockery and sincere cooking by an owner proud of his Bresse origins, with an unmissable gaude soup. All homemade, like this pike quenelle and this beautiful praline tart. Enjoy!

La qualité, le goût, le service sont toujours au rendez vous! Impossible de venir à Lyon sans passer par ce restaurant. Penser aussi à réserver.

Si vous passez à Lyon, arrêtez-vous pour déjeuner dans cet excellent bouchon qui a été, et de loin, ma meilleure expérience culinaire dans la ville. La carte est truffée de délices locaux faits maison, les prix sont imbattables, le lieu est charmant et l'accueil aussi succulent que les plats. Un lieu incontournable, je vous conseille de réserver (et allez faire un tour aux toilettes, vous rirez bien) ;)

I'm not the biggest fan of French food but this place was quite tasty. We went there as some friends from the US were visiting and wanted a bouchon experience. They absolutely adored this place and said they want to come back whenever they visit again. I loved the decoration and overall atmosphere, it was very authentic and the staff was really nice. I'd recommend it to others ????
