Au Petit Bouchon Chez Georges is one of the best preservers of Lyon's culinary traditions. Since 1960, this small but charming bouchon has been a haven for happy feasting. Nicolas Framinet and Romain Camous perpetuate good eating and drinking from early morning, with the possibility of chewing every day from 9am. Generosity and flavors on a menu of Lyonnais specialties, from poultry liver cake to pike quenelle with lobster sauce and sapper's apron. A wine list that's off the beaten track.

On our last night in Lyon, we seem to have saved the best for last! Au Petit Bouchon Chez George is cozy and welcoming. We didn't have a reservation but arrived in time for the first seating and got a table. The server and bartender were friendly and it was easy to tell how much they love their work. Everything we ordered was delicious, and we left especially infatuated with the Salade Lyonnaise (the poached eggs were cooked to perfection and the dressing paired with the crispy and meaty pancetta was all very wow!). Thrilled that we could experience traditional Lyonnaise cuisine here. We can't wait to go back!
