Restaurant to enjoy an authentic home cooking in Lyon.
Corks, too, obey the cycle of life. And when a great woman leaves - not too far away... -others arrive to perpetuate the tradition of the "Lyon mothers", of whom the famous Arlette is not the last! In the 138 years that this gourmet institution has existed, 5 women have succeeded one another behind the stoves. The latest is Fatima. Trained by Arlette, and supported by her friend and partner Paola in the dining room, Fatima will continue to delight us, in a slightly old-fashioned decor (will they dare touch it? remains to be seen), with a famous chicken in vinegar or a black pudding with candied apples. All, of course, accompanied by Morgon. Le bouchon des " mères ".

Mes hommages Mesdames
Aucun détails sur la note, 80€ par personne pour un menu, un vin en pot et une chartreuse.
Et à la fin on se fait virer du resto, car la patronne est pressée d’aller se coucher.
A éviter .
It is a small old bouchon with typical simple decor. It felt like a little slice of history just being there. I loved the vibe.
The food was amazing! They offered a three course menu. I choose salade lyonaise, poulet au vinaigre, and a prailine tarte. I thoroughly enjoyed the flavors. My partner expressed similarly about his tourine, boudin aux pommes, and chocolate dessert.
The service was helpful and efficient. Everything came out from the kitchen at a nice pace.
I can definitely recommend Chez Hugon.
