Restaurant serving good food in an incredible setting in Lyon.

Le Bouillon Baratte offers a wide range of options. The wide range of opening hours means you can take a break between two visits or two stores. Its beautiful terrace, sheltered from the hustle and bustle of the city, and its large, tastefully decorated dining room are sure to have a table available. Last but not least, the menu offers something for every appetite. Small plates to share as an aperitif with a glass of organic wine, brasserie dishes, Lyonnaiseries and a few house specialties with a pureed sausage. And veggie burgers too: when we tell you they don't forget anyone!

Excellent experience here after getting turned away at Bouchon des Cordeliers and the bouchon next door for lunch at 1:30pm. Who stops seating people at 1:30pm for lunch??? Only the French! Ridiculous! Jarring after spending a few weeks in Spain. Well, that's not the case here - really convenient dining times throughout the day, and they serve delicious food. Highly recommended. Now that I know, will come here again!

Professional, courteous, competent, patient, kind service. The waiter here was tres gentil.

Had the classic Lyon prix fixe menu for 29 EUR - salade Lyonnaise, quenelle, and creme brulee with pink pralines. Salade Lyonniase is my favorite salad - the acidity of the vinaigrette cut through the fat perfectly of the generous helping of lardons. The only nit was the egg was hard boiled, rather than soft. The quenelle was fluffy and airy, and the bisque was creamy and light, and actually "bisque-y," unlike the thick paste at a disappointing bouchon. And the pink praline crumble was a cute touch on a perfectly executed creme brulee. A delicious lunch.

The food is similar to what you can get at bouchons. Pretty much the same. The “official” status of bouchon is a complete tourist trap and worthless IMO. Spots like Luna and here are examples that classics can be served perfectly well, and oftentimes better, than the bouchons, which are highly overrated. Come here. Have lunch at 2pm! Be a rebel. Lol...
