Large hotel with 53 soundproofed rooms and uniquely decorated, upscale cocoons.

One of Lyon's oldest hotels, housed in a 19th-century mansion, has changed ownership and will undergo renovation work in 2025. Let's hope it retains some traces of the Belle Époque style that contributes to its charm, while acknowledging that a "refreshment" will do the 53 rooms a world of good. Visitors will continue to be able to refresh themselves in the relaxation pool in the building's basement.

Chambres et couloirs bien décorés mais service en réception a minima, limite pour la politesse. Ainsi on nous remet la mauvaise clé, je m'en rends compte à la chambre, je redescends, aucune parole d'excuse. Le quartier central qui pourrait être un atout me paraît dégradé, dommage.

Positive: The location was excellent, and the staff incredibly friendly and helpful. The breakfast was also very good. Relaxing in the pool was a lovely and unique experience. Negative: The rooms are quite small (bathroom door has to be closed in order to move around), but comfortable other than that.
