LA HALTE FLUVIALE DE LA CONFLUENCE
Within the new area of the Confluence and its museum, 22 pitches for boats up to 12 metres long are at your disposal for a maximum stay of 4 days. The staff of the Harbour welcomes you with tourist information on the Grand-Lyon. The pontoons have secured access via code, electricity and water power terminals. Wi-Fi internet access is available for guests. The new harbour offers a washing machine equipped with washing machine, dryer and a workshop.
Almost as large as Place Bellecour, Place Nautique is a key element of the urban landscape of the Confluence. The shape and materials of its docks, benches and stands make it unique. Launched in 2006, the excavation (or scour) of the dock (water plan), in the centre of Place Nautique, ended in early 2008 to connect the basin to the Saône. The docks were built, two bridges, one fixed, the other mobile, were installed. The river stop is intended to host recreational boats between Marseille and Amsterdam.
In addition, a tour of cruise boats and boat boats is in development. Lyon aims to become a major stopover for cruise ships. For the river liners section, tubes 30 metres high and 1,40 metres in diameter have been installed to allow boats to berth in. As for the boat boats, a mobile footbridge was set up to agree on the platform of landing carried out in 2016. With a total cost of € 1,5 million (half to the charge of VNF, the other divided between the state, the Region and the Metropolis), this new river stop has been operating since mid-March 2017 and will be officially inaugurated in July.
And it's not over! The Metropolis and VNF have ratified a charter to invest EUR 5,1 million (EUR 4,2 million by VNF and EUR 900 000 by the Metropolis) to provide more docking boats to accommodate ever more cruise ships and improve the quality of the river facades. The new stops will allow for some thirty by 2020.
