Bistro offering authenticity, conviviality, generosity and enthusiasm in Lyon.

At a time when the cobblestones of rue Mercière were not yet frequented by tourists in search of a restaurant, Jean-Paul Lacombe opened a bistrot de copains just 50 years ago (happy anniversary!) - not far from the Léon de Lyon he managed. The Bistrot de Lyon was born. Over the years, the Bistrot has affirmed the values of the famous "Bistrots de cuisiniers": authenticity, conviviality, generosity and enthusiasm. Magnificent Belle Époque room, lively terrace, adorable service and a cuisine that honors the classics of Lyonnais cuisine, sometimes revisited just right, from poultry liver cake to the Bistrot's Saint-Cochon. Restaurant trouvé au hasard en parcourant les rues de LYON, l'intérieur est très joli. Personnel accueillant, et serviable. On a très bien mangé, pour un tarif correct.

Pas mal pour le quartier "attrape-touristes". Lyonnaiseraies au programme mais de qualité. Arrivée tôt les jours d'affluence touristiques. Ne fait néammoins pas partie des restaurants préfèrés des lyonnais

Très déçus, depuis que je connais ce restaurant début des années 90, il n'a pas changé, ce qui était sympa à l'époque est devenu ringard. Même la peinture n'a pas été refaite (limite cracra). Le personnel faussement agréable. Le pain de seigle daté de la semaine d'avant, ensuite je n'ai pas eu droit à avoir du pain, ni carafe d'eau... Bon je ne ai pas demandé (ma ligne), mais enfin je trouve ça inadmissible dans un restaurant qui se veut respectueux des traditions française. Bref, trouver mieux pour apprécier Lyon
