Restaurant offering dishes made of carefully selected regional products.
A well-established address in the Ainay district. An Établi that seduces us with its "artisanal" feel, a workshop-style setting with the scent of leather, wood and raw produce, artfully crafted by passionate chefs, chief among them Louis Fargeton. Simplicity and sharing are the hallmarks of this chef, who uses the finest regional produce, in particular vegetables from Agriz, to create seasonal compositions that are as tasty as they are bewildering. A warm decor, a choice of knives by Savoyard cutler Jean-Loup Balitrand and surprising dishes: turbot, earth pear and saffron; pithiviers, hind and truffle; butternut, spices and caramel. Bluffing.

Unfortunately the food did not meet our expectations.
Presentation was superb, like art on a plate.
However for our family of 4 the vast majority of meals were for display purposes as opposed to balance of flavour and ingredients.
In fact majority of our party of 4 could not eat the first 3 dishes, pork, frog and Scottish fish. Mind you these were all surprise dishes.
I think 3.5 is where I place this restaurant.
We have had far more superior dinning experiences across France and most recently in Lyon.
I was aware of price before making my reservations, certainly not at the lower end of price. However I did expect a better food journey than I experienced for the price we paid.
In addition to above, the restaurant includes surprise dishes on top of your degustation menu - this was a nice touch and surprise.
Our waiter was wonderful, I don’t recall her name.
Good but not great and certainly not memorable.
