The only hotel opening onto Place Bellecour, the beating heart of Lyon, Hôtel Le Royal Lyon also boasts the city's oldest hotel, in operation since 1912. This historic hotel owes a great deal to a certain Paul Bocuse, who made this prestigious establishment a training ground for the students of his training institute (now Lyfe). An elegant 5-star establishment with classically beautiful rooms - ecstatic toile de Jouy lovers on every floor - and modern comforts. Hôtel très bien situé. Très bon accueil. La chambre et le lit sont confortables. Petit déjeuner à partir de 27 €. Besoin d'une petite rénovation dans ce cadre de standing.

I can't say enough about this hotel. The location, breakfast, atmosphere, and decor were all amazing. They were only topped by the hospitality! Everyone we encountered went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and to meet our needs. I highly recommend and will be back for sure :)

Enquanto meu pai participava de uma reunião no restaurante do hotel, minha mãe e eu solicitamos educadamente o uso do banheiro. No entanto, fomos surpreendidas pela recepcionista, que nos tratou com desdém e extrema rudeza, como se nossa simples requisição fosse uma inconveniência. Esta falta de consideração e cortesia, especialmente em um momento em que estávamos considerando passar a noite no hotel durante nossa viagem para Courchevel, deixou-nos profundamente desapontadas. Como associados Accor de longa data, não esperávamos tal atendimento em um estabelecimento desse padrão.
