The brilliant Christian Têtedoie, at the head of the site of L'Antiquaille for a few years, has invested the roofs. At the top, and thus in the open air (closed in bad weather), Lyon is always overlooked like the deck of a gourmet vessel. It is beautiful and, let us get straight to the point, it is good. Contemplating Lyon, in the daytime and even more at night, what could be more romantic! It is just splendid and the accuracy of the dishes meets the beauty of the urban landscape, opening to Mont Blanc during the days of great weather. It is not because you are in terrace, that the Meilleur Ouvrier de France does not deliver his best. At €45, an à la plancha catering and a superb menu: Minute salmon, gourmet quinoa, lemon confit and tuile parmesan or a charolais Beef tartare with razor clam, condiments, preserved tomatoes and tuile parmesan to start. Coming up next, Scallops and à la plancha prawns, shellfish emulsion, a roasted Iberian Pluma of Bellota, roasted vegetables and piquillos sauce or a roasted market Fish, cauliflowers, fennel and marine juice. When it comes to the gazpacho of red fruits, sorbet and diamond shortbread cookie, it allows us to retain summer in our mouth. A very beautiful address, flawless even at the service. A gourmet Terrace that you don't find elsewhere.

Disappointing. For a tasting menu costing over 250 euro there is really no excuse for a Michelin star restaurant to serve such unimaginative and flavorless dishes. Even if they were "classics" in the tradition of Paul Bocuse, they should have been executed with much more flavor, imagination, and creativity. I was particularly infuriated by the substitution of the “two caviar” course by a few small, under seasoned orbs of leek greens. The greens were totally bland and tasted of nothing except mowed grass. This substitution was extremely disappointing and a bit puzzling because I would have expected a caviar substitution to have a more similar flavor profile, for example, a tartare of tuna, etc.. The food was particularly disappointing after watching a YouTube video about the restaurant, which showed a much more creative aspect to the cuisine which was not present in the tasting meal presented to me. On the plus side, the physical appearance of the restaurant was nice, with a beautiful view of the city. The service was excellent as to be expected from the 1-star rating. Several courses -- the foie gras, the fish quenelle, the scorpion fish, and the pork belly -- showed balance and subtlety, but were a bit bland with not a lot of depth of flavor. They seemed rather conventional and not particularly exciting for a 1-star restaurant. The wine pairings were the highlight of the meal, with excellent service by the sommelier. I also thought the cheeses on the trolley were excellent. But the wine and the cheese were produced by others, not by the kitchen staff at Restaurant Gastronomique Christian Tetedoie. Overall, the experience definitely did not live up to my high expectations of Michelin 1-star dining, and I will not return in the future given the many other fine dining options in Lyon.
