LE PAIN DE SUCRE
Restaurant with an exotic atmosphere offering an authentic and 100% home-made cuisine in Lyon.
In the heart of the 6th arrondissement, Pain de Sucre is an establishment run by Robson, a true Carioca, and an authentic Lyonnais: Philippe. The cuisine offered by the young Brazilian chef is authentic and 100% homemade, from the preparation of fritters and desserts to the chili sauce, always served separately so as not to offend the most delicate palates. Meat lovers, imported from Brazil or Argentina, won't want to miss the Picanha of beef grilled with coarse Guérande salt. As for fish and seafood, a Moqueca de Bahia (coconut milk and palm oil) made to order. For dessert, surprising quindim and blancmange with coconut milk, fruit mousses, and Brazilian tiramisu with coffee, pineapple, orange... Malongo fair-trade coffee. In the dining room, Philippe will advise you on the wines of the world, selected with passion. A warm place with a festive atmosphere, especially on weekends, when reservations are recommended. Groups are welcome for birthday parties or private functions. Four times a month, an "ao vivo" music evening. Groups of dancers (your choice!) and musicians on request. Once a week, bossa nova evenings. A place that serves until midnight on weekends, with a pleasant summer terrace on rue Masséna. Craft store and mini Brazilian grocery, with some fair-trade products. Can be privatized for PACS ceremonies, birthdays, etc., with buffet or lunch with dancers. You'll fall in love with this exotic atmosphere!
