SERVICE DE COOPERATION AU DEVELOPPEMENT (SCD)
The DDS coordinates in France one of the largest services for sending volunteers abroad. On French soil, the DDS develops an education aid policy in Africa, Latin America, Asia and the Near and Middle East, by organizing Development Assistance Missions. The Development Cooperation Service is the 3rd French organization of this type, with 300 volunteers present in over 60 countries in the South.
What do they propose ? The DDS employs professional volunteers in the areas of rural development, education, health (curative and preventive), socio-cultural development (animation, coaching). In the field of education, it promotes professional integration by preparing teachers for various learning methods, it develops rural harmonisation and supports cultural projects. It also offers technical services for reconstruction, masonry, carpentry, etc.
Where ? Africa, South America, Asia, Caribbean, Eastern countries, Near and Middle East, Europe.
Profile and conditions. Volunteers for the Development Cooperation Service are at least 21 years of age and over 60 years of age. Missions are at least 2 years, with monitoring and reintegration.
