Restaurant on the corner of rue de Marseille offering vegetarian dishes in Lyon.
The 7th arrondissement's hottest spots aremoving south, beyond the symbolic barrier of Avenue Berthelot. And to find this one, you'll have to thank the Petit Futé for taking you to this corner of the rue de Marseille where you'd never go, except to visit the Musée de la Résistance et de la Déportation... Boulang' & Patiss' is located in a former factory, which we have classified as a fast-food restaurant, but which could also have been a bakery or patisserie, as its name suggests. Without going back over the whole genesis of the project, Boulang' & Patiss' is an offshoot of Cuisine Itinérante, a "caterer committed to local and peasant agriculture", an approach much appreciated by Le Futé. Don't hesitate to climb the few steps to discover an atypical room opening onto a vast, luminous space. The whole space is reminiscent of a coworking space (in fact, there is one in the building). Scandinavian-style furniture, sustainable development and recycling displayed everywhere, and a counter for ordering. All that's left to do is choose between the sandwiches, savoury tarts (zucchini and blue cheese for us), mostly vegetarian dishes (although we had the delicious kebabs and polenta) served in bento boxes, and excellent desserts, notably chocolate. All prepared with healthy, seasonal local produce. There's a menu to suit every taste and appetite, and we liked the selection of organic wines in the same spirit. A particularly welcome innovation.
