CASTLE OF LAROQUEBROU
This castle built in the 10th century has rooms with beautiful Renaissance fireplaces.
Small streets lined with beautiful houses lead you from the church to the castle which dominates the town. Built in the 10th century, this castle guarded the valley of the Cère. It was a considerable building, preceded and flanked by towers and turrets. Today, only parts of the walls of its vanguard tower, its keep and the main building remain. One of the towers houses a spiral staircase and some rooms have beautiful Renaissance fireplaces. Exhibitions are regularly organized. A medieval festival takes place every year at the beginning of August.
