Visit of the bridge located in Laroquebrou which was the only point of passage from one bank to the other at several kilometers.
Laroquebrou owes much to the river Cère and its bridge. At first the river, which flows towards the south-west, was navigable by gabare from the Dordogne situated downstream. It was full of salmon, the last of which was caught in 1912. The Cère was also a place of leisure for the inhabitants, the Roquais. The bridge, built around 1300, ensured prosperity because it was the only point of passage from one bank to the other for several kilometres. You had to pay a fee to cross it. A real district developed over time with many shops.
