SAINT GUÉRIN'S DAM
Saint-Guérin dam at 1,557 m altitude in Beaufort, with a pedestrian path accessible to the greatest number.
The Saint Guérin dam, commissioned in 1961, contributes to the filling of the Roselend dam further north, thanks to a connecting pipe. Located at an altitude of 1,557 m, very close to the winter sports resort of Arêches-Beaufort, it bears the name of the patron saint of mountain pastures. The pedestrian route, accessible to the greatest number of people, runs along the lake from its right bank to a Himalayan footbridge 83 metres wide and more than 20 metres high. It allows you to cross the Poncellamont Gorge and provides some beautiful sensations along the way.
