BARRAGE ET SITE DE ROSELEND
The mythical site of Roselend is ideal for hiking, with a dam 804 m long, 149 m high and 150 m wide at its base.
The Roselend site is mythical and magnificent. The dam, commissioned in 1962, is 804 m long, 149 m high and 150 m wide at its base, making it one of the highest in France. It contributes to the power supply of the power station of La Bâthie. The site is also ideal for hiking. At the time of its construction, the Sainte-Marie-Madeleine chapel was moved to the shore of the lake before the dam was filled with water, which drowned the hamlet of Roselend on 6 May 1960.
