The most picturesque and magnificent hamlet in Savoie. Perched at 2,000 m altitude in Bonneval-sur-Arc.
Access to the hamlet of l'Écot from Bonneval-sur-Arc is regulated and subject to a fee in July and August, as is the summer shuttle service. A picturesque footpath, the "sentier des Agneaux", takes an hour to reach on foot, offering a beautiful view of the Arc canyon and the Pont de la Lama. L'Écot is the starting point for hikes of all levels, with trails leading to the Carro and Evettes refuges, as well as to glacial cirques. The Sainte-Marguerite chapel rises above the cobbled streets, bearing witness to a rich history.
