The Bourg-Saint-Maurice station, opened in 1913, serves the line from Saint-Pierre-d'Albigny to Bourg-Saint-Maurice, in other words the Tarentaise line, which in winter allows skiers to go on to Les Arcs, Tignes, Val-d'Isère, La Rosière and Sainte-Foy-Tarentaise. For the 1992 Olympic Winter Games, the station was expanded and refurbished. It is above all a regional station served by TER Rhône-Alpes trains, but during the winter season, traffic increases to transport skiers, and the station is served by mainline trains (TGV, Thalys...)
