FÉDÉRATION DE SAVOIE POUR LA PÊCHE ET LA PROTECTION DES MILIEUX AQUATIQUES
With 1 800 kilometres of first-class rivers, 60 kilometres of second-class rivers, and more than 8 000 hectares of natural lakes and water reservoirs, Savoie remains a paradise for fishermen. Lac du Bourget offers nearly 4 500 hectares of aquatic space with its 18 kilometres of length. This places it in first place among the French freshwater reserves. The lake of Aiguebelette and its beautiful turquoise waters, from its banks or from a boat without a fossil fuel engine.... We're having fun on its 545 hectares. There are the countless mountain lakes, natural or water retention lakes that supply some of them with electricity: Saint-Guérin, Roselend, la Gittaz, Sassière, Bissorte, Plan d'Amont et d'Aval, Mont Cenis. There are also torrents such as the Chéran in the Bauges, the Isère in Tarentaise, the Arc in Maurienne and all their tributaries... There is the Rhône and of course the Guiers in the Savoyard Foreland... Arrived in the plain, the calmer waters offer other fishing atmospheres with Barouchat and Aitelène... Savoie offers countless possibilities for fishing and the expression of its different techniques. Salmonids including lavaret and arctic char, fario and rainbow trout, pike, carp, perch and perch are available. The Federation has a long-standing policy of protecting wildlife and its environment, and has 27 AAPPMAs, in other words, approved associations. So many serious interlocutors to turn to.
