CHÂTEAU DES TERNES
Castle that watched over the roads of the valleys and defended the access to Saint-Flour to the west, housing chimneys and a garden.
The role of this castle was strategic since it was intended to control the roads of the valleys and defended the access to Saint-Flour in the west. Around 1450, it was largely destroyed by the English who ravaged the surroundings, before being rebuilt and even renovated recently in the 20th century. A visit is an opportunity to note its proximity to the houses of the village, but also to admire its monumental fireplaces and to stroll around in the garden. The Château des Ternes has been the property of the commune since 1973.
