ST. STEPHEN'S CHURCH
This religious building is part of the Chemins du baroque® of the Fondation Facim.
The mountain village of Hautecour has many chapels in many of its hamlets, but it is above all its parish church dedicated to Saint Stephen that deserves attention. This religious building has been classified as a Historic Monument since 1971 and is part of the Baroque Paths® of the Facim Foundation. Its facade portal with an arch with an interrupted pediment is surmounted by a statue of the Virgin and Child, and inside we discover a decoration painted by the Artari brothers in 1860, a high altar from 1825 made by Gilardi and Schira, sculptors from Valsesia or a carved wooden bas-relief from Italy, painted in the 19th century...
