Refuge in a wild mountain site in Modane.

The Mont Thabor refuge is guarded in season and is perched at an altitude of 2,501 m, in a wild mountain setting, 15 minutes' walk from the Vallée Étroite pass. It was built in 1979 and has since been renovated and brought up to standard to provide greater comfort. The approach walk is easy and the mountain lakes and pastures surrounding the refuge are already a great way to discover the mountain environment. Fanny, a guide, and Cédric, a high mountain guide, are the guardians of the place. Base camp for Mount Thabor (3 178 m).

Déçue par le manque de qualité des produits et des plats : pain servi avec parcimonie et rassis ou moisi (!) ...
Pâte à tarte à peine cuite.
Omelette insipide .
On est loin des bons déjeuners servis ces dernières années dans ce meme refuge le midi.
J’espère que l’équipe jeune et sympathique saura améliorer son travail

Etape en Thabor
Sur le chemin du Thabor ou de la vallée étroite, refuge de haute montagne, 2400 m. Accueil sympa, confort montagnard, cuisine généreuse, dortoirs accueillants et aérés. Site splendide, aux pieds de lacs d'altitude.
