THE RICE MILL - EXHIBITION CENTRE OF THE LYON-TURIN LINK
A former building designed in the image of an ancient temple in 1908, which became the exhibition center for the Lyon-Turin rail link.
While rice grown in Piedmont was introduced to the plates at the beginning of the 20th century, Genoese Francesco Cattaneo built rice mills to prepare the precious grain for distribution throughout France. This former building, designed in the image of an ancient temple in 1908 and renovated in 2005, has become the exhibition centre of the Lyon-Turin rail link. The problem of the breakthrough of the Alps is presented and the scenography evolves as the "Lyon-Turin" line project also progresses in the field.
