ÉGLISE SAINT-BARTHÉLEMY
A church with large statues of St. Bartholomew, with a bell tower topped by a tuff spire, and a high altar.
This remarkable church is part of the Baroque Paths®, which includes 80 buildings with free access or guided by the Facim Foundation. An architectural originality in Tarentaise, this church keeps the plan in a cul-de-four with a bell tower topped with a tuff arrow. But this is not its only specificity, since the eye is also on its high altar from 1677, and the large statues of Saint Barthélemy and Saint Grat, the two saints invoked, one for the flocks, the other for the sowing. It also has a chapel dedicated to Saint Barbara.
