ÉGLISE SAINT-BARTHÉLÉMY
Saint-Barthélemy Church, which is a listed historical monument, is located in Montsapey, in the Maurienne Valley, at an altitude of 1 050 m. This remarkable 17th and 19th century religious building is part of the Facim Foundation's Baroque Paths®. In 1865, the construction of the church began, replacing the old one, which had become too old to be restored. In particular, you can admire a sumptuous high altar made by the Gilardi brothers, the central canvas made in 1875 by Pier Celestino Gilardi, numerous statues, wall paintings and side altars.
