GITE-AUBERGE LES BARMETTES
In summer, you leave Fontanettes to Les Barmettes, you can also take the cable car from Mount Bochor and follow the trail. A quiet path where you will find marmots and chamois. Keep the eye open to find them. In winter, the Lift lift at the start of the Fontanettes takes you directly to the refuge, you will have a few meters to walk. You arrive at 2 010 m and the Chalet hut tend your arms. A large stone and wood building. A torrent flows turbulent, it will rock your night well. From the large terrace or the refuge, the view over Pralognan and the surrounding mountains the encircling is already worth the detour and this little walk to put you in appetite. And you have to have it because the meal is delicious and rich. The staff were friendly and helpful. Bernadette, the owner is available and does not hesitate to light a fire in the chimney. The decor is cosy, leaving a feeling of being at home. The rooms overlook a terrace and are comfortable. You even get the slippers to be comfortable. In the winter, enjoy snowshoe evenings. This guarded refuge is ideal for pushing up the Great Casse.
