ÉGLISE SAINTE AGATHE
Remarkable church nestled in the village of Queige, at the gateway to the Beaufortain valley.
This remarkable church is part of the Baroque Paths®, which includes 80 buildings with free access or guided by the Facim Foundation. The church of Sainte-Agathe, nestled in the village of Queige, at the gates of the Beaufortain valley, dates from the end of the 18th century and is attached to the former keep of the Queige family's castle. Its austere façade, built in 1674, contrasts enormously with the richness of its Baroque interior: polychrome vaults featuring the evangelists, Saint Michael, Saint Francis de Sales and the guardian angel, a richly decorated choir, a major altarpiece from 1677 are just some of the elements that can be mentioned as worthy of interest.
