COL DU GRAND CUCHERON
The Col du Grand Cucheron, a popular climb for cyclists with a magnificent view of the Lauzière.
Perched at an altitude of 1,188 metres, the Col du Grand Cucheron is located in the Belledonne massif. It connects the valley of the Oils (between Savoie and Isère) to that of the Maurienne. From Aiguebelle, simply follow the direction of Saint-Georges-des-Hurtières, then cross Saint-Alban-des-Hurtières and finally start the ascent to the Col du Grand Cucheron. Much appreciated by cyclists, starting from La Corbière, it will be a question of climbing 11.6 km with an average slope of 6.94%, or 805 metres of difference in altitude. The pass offers a magnificent view of the Lauzière massif.
