MUSÉE D'ART ÉLISE-RIEUF
Elise-Rieuf Art Museum located in Massiac, offering an invitation to follow its history from the Cantal to China.
We owe this museum to a family of enthusiasts. The nephews of Elise Rieuf (1897-1990) and their daughter Marion, curator of the museum, have devoted their lives to collecting the works of this artist from Massiac. The collection was expanded to include Charlotte Musson, a friend of hers and both students of Marguerite-Jeanne Carpentier, a disciple of Rodin who created the first school for women. This museum invites us to follow Elise Rieuf from Cantal to China, where she stayed in the 1930s. It deserves a stop in the heart of Massiac.
