This unique site invites visitors to discover the former iron ore mines that shaped the region's industrial history (700 years of mining history unfold before their eyes). The Galerie Saint-Louis, the school of yesteryear, the permanent exhibition, the metallurgical park and an amazing escape game! Legend has it that this ore was even used to forge Durandal, Roland's sword, in the 12th century.

Situé en Savoie, dans un un lieu unique à l'entrée de la vallée de la Maurienne, (900 mètres d'altitude), la mine est un site unique en son genre dans la région. Le parcours de 550 mètres parmi les 22 kilomètres existants,vous fais connaitre la vie et la difficulté du travail de la mine, le percement, la transformation, l'épée Durandal aurait été forgée avec le minerai des Hurtières. A visiter en famille
