SAN MARTIN CHURCH
Church part of the Chemins du Baroque®, a series of 80 buildings with free or guided access organized by the Fondation Facim.
Construction of the church, completed under the direction of Jean Meilleur in 1685, left its indelible mark on the entrance portal, although the exterior was restored in 1987, enhancing the ancient stonework. Since its creation, the church's interior has been adorned with frescoed murals, offering a remarkable décor. Don't miss the altarpiece on the south side. It features "sheathed caryatids", human busts with no visible legs, supporting an entablature decorated with a rich frieze of flowers, fruit and angels' heads.
