SAINT DEAN'S CHURCH
Religious building with remarkable elements starting with the portal of its facade, but also its monumental tabernacle.
The present church, erected in 1655 and completed with the construction of its vault in 1690, features a sober Latin cross design. It comprises three distinct sections separated by pillars supporting a cross vault. Each pillar is crowned by an Ionic capital characterized by elegant scrolls. The bell tower was rebuilt to complete the ensemble. An imposing altarpiece, housing a monumental tabernacle, is the work of sculptor Jacques-Antoine Todesco. The church of Saint-Oyen is in the tradition of many Savoyard churches.
