BOUCLE DU CHÂTEAU DE CHOISEL

The loop of the Château de Choisel starts from Saint-Paul-sur-Yenne. It is a 5.6 km loop on a marked path, for about 1h30 of walk with a 300 meters difference in altitude. This walk offers a very nice view of the Château de Choisel Tower. It is the former fortified house, dating from the 13th century, redesigned in the 15th and 18th centuries, in the Middle Ages, the seat of the seigneury of Choisel. This fiefdom belonged to the Seyssel family from the 13th century. It is a private property that cannot be visited. Be careful to remain vigilant when passing on departmental roads.
