ÉGLISE SAINT MAURICE
This church is located in the new commune of Salins-Fontaine, created by the merger of Fontaine-le-Puits and Salins-les-Thermes.
This church embodies the eventful history of a village that has seen its heyday and its turbulent times. Despite the vicissitudes caused by natural elements, it remains a symbol of resilience. The Rosary altarpiece on the right may be the work of Jacques Clérant in 1677. Outside the church, you'll find a stele of Chevalier Merme, a soldier with an extraordinary career during the Revolution and Empire. A survivor of the Russian campaign, he retired to his native village of Salins, as this stele testifies.
