COL DU PETIT MONT-CENIS
Perched at an altitude of 2,183 metres, this pass is the gateway between France and Italy.
The Col du Petit Mont-Cenis rises to an altitude of almost 2,200 metres, offering breathtaking views over the Maurienne valley. To reach it, a narrow road branches off towards the Col du Mont-Cenis. This asphalt road skirts the eponymous lake from the north-west, passing close to the Petit Mont-Cenis refuge before joining the pass on the Val de Suse side. On the Maurienne side, a path descends into the Ambin valley, providing access to Bramans on foot or mountain bike. This route offers majestic scenery and an immersion in Alpine nature.
